This article was particularly interesting to me because throughout this course, I've learned more things about myself. I've learned that I'm not only a feminist, but I'm an intersectional feminist. "The works of black poet Audre Lorde and others taught me to think in new ways, such as how each woman's personal identity was an intersection of identities and each of the intersections brought different meanings to feminism". There's so many different aspects and parts to an individual's identity, and the idea of intersectional feminism is one that fights for equity on all of those fronts. Something I love about being an intersectional feminist is that there will always be room for upward mobility, and this article touched on that. There will always be something that we can improve on in our own communities and circles. It's important that we never stay stagnant on our fight for equity, but we continue to grow and bring awareness to the many intersections of one's identity.
