They, them, X or other words that a person feels comfortable describing themselves and identify with should be regular words in making a person feel accepted and acknowledged for who they are. Spanish nonbinary pronoun/s are important as a sense of respect, expressing identity and making one feel safe and comfortable within social spaces. These pronoun/s are important to show acceptance and acknowledgement to a person to give a sense of reassurance that they fit into the environment they are in, making sure they don’t feel judged for who they are and who they are not. For Garcia the word “Elle” didn’t mean "he" nor "she" but who Gracia resonated with.
